Is it really free?
Yes. The free plan gives you 5 invoices and 5 quotes per month with full GST/ABN support and PDF export. No credit card required to sign up. If you need more, the Pro plan is $25/month.
Can my clients pay online?
Not yet — but it's our top priority. We're building Stripe integration so your clients can pay directly from a link. For now, you can include your bank details (BSB, account number, PayID) on every invoice and record payments manually as they come in.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. TradieInvoices is a responsive web app that works in any mobile browser — iPhone, Android, tablet. No app download needed. You can create and send invoices from the job site.
Does it handle GST properly?
Yes. You can toggle between GST-inclusive and GST-exclusive pricing. GST is calculated automatically on every line item. Your ABN appears on all PDFs. All amounts are calculated in cents to avoid rounding errors.
Can I use it with Xero or MYOB?
Xero-compatible CSV export is on our roadmap. For now, you can export your invoices and clients as CSV files for your accountant.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Every account is completely isolated (multi-tenant architecture). We use role-based access control, encrypted sessions, CSRF protection, and input validation on every action. Your data is never shared across accounts.
What if I have a team?
The Business plan ($65/month) includes up to 5 team members with role-based permissions — Owner, Admin, and User roles control who can create, edit, or delete quotes and invoices.
How is this different from Xero?
Xero is accounting software. TradieInvoices is quoting and invoicing software. If you need BAS statements and double-entry bookkeeping, use Xero. If you just need to send professional quotes, invoice your clients, and track who's paid — without the accounting complexity — use TradieInvoices. They work well together.
